Who We Are
The Mobile Reading Room is a mobile library that works to give children a greater access to books.
It was founded to give every child an opportunity to be functionally literate irrespective of their location or socioeconomic background.
Our mission
The mission of The Reading Room is to facilitate literacy for children aged 5 to 12 in underserved Nigerian communities through regular access to books; modelling reading; explicit teaching of decoding and comprehension skills; and training of community workers.
Our Vision
To be at the forefront of literacy advocacy and reach the nooks and crannies of the nation with practical and hands-on programs that improve literacy and general academic achievement.
